At Victory Outreach West London we believe prayer must come first before we do anything else. That is why we take every opportunity to pray as a church, why we have a strong emphasis on teaching our members how to pray, and why every ministry in the church includes prayer as its foundation.

The Prayer Outreach Warriors (P.O.W.) team consists of committed members who connect with one another throughout the week, often by phone or Skype, in order to pray for the work of the church. In particular the P.O.W. team prays for our pastors, the prison ministry, the streets outreach, the youth and the vision of our ministry to see treasures out of darkness – lost and hurting souls coming to Christ. The P.O.W. team also coordinates the wider team that participates in corporate prayer at our meetings as we come together to pray for the church and for our city.

There are regular opportunities to come together for prayer throughout the week – the men’s ministry, (Mighty Men of Valour) and women’s ministry (United Women in Ministry) both operate early morning prayer and Bible study conference calls, and each ministry has its own pattern for prayer. Life groups also provide a safe environment to pray for any needs with a smaller number of people. Late night prayer meetings throughout the year are always powerful times when we come together to seek God’s face.
